When onboarding your company to ftrack, it’s a good idea to establish a team responsible for the implementation and set up of the platform. This is your “launch team”.
If you're working at a smaller company, a single person can assume each of these roles.
Here are some suggested roles for your launch team:
- System Owner – the person responsible for overseeing and driving ftrack’s implementation within the company and coordinating other resources.
- Workflow Specialist – an individual who understands the company's workflow/creative process and can help to define this within the ftrack platform.
- Application and Integrations Expert – an individual with knowledge of the applications, e.g., Adobe products, Maya, Nuke, or other pipeline applications, that you use in production at your company.
- (Optional) Technical Guru – a technical resource, if you plan to build automations, customize ftrack, and/or develop integrations.
Select the person best suited to each role and responsibility.
Now that you have assembled your launch team let’s get to know the ftrack platform a little better and define the goals for your implementation.
We’ll start with an overview of what a project looks like when you run it through ftrack, from start to finish. 👀
